What it is for

This is the departmental application form for people seeking Australian citizenship by conferral who fall outside the general eligibility stream. It steps applicants through eligibility, the residence requirement, document certification, payment and lodgement.

Who completes it

The person applying for citizenship, or a responsible parent signing on behalf of an applicant child; for certain minors the consent of a guardian, carer or the Minister's delegate is noted.

When it is used

Used by applicants in special situations such as those aged 60 or over, people with a permanent incapacity or sensory impairment affecting the citizenship test, applicants aged 16 or 17 or under 16, unaccompanied humanitarian minors, and certain people with historical ties to Australia.
