What it is for
Enables a parent, relative or guardian to sponsor a child migrating to Australia and to give the written undertaking to support that child, including accommodation and financial assistance during their first years in Australia.
Who completes it
The sponsor (parent, relative or guardian), lodged together with the child's application; where the child is under 18 the sponsor or guardian typically completes the accompanying application on the child's behalf.
Information it collects (in general terms)
Sponsor and guardian identity and personal details, the relationship to the child and details of the child's family unit, character disclosures including any child-related offences or charges, and the sponsor's support undertaking.
When it is used
Used when sponsoring a dependent child, adopted child or orphan relative to migrate, lodged at the same time as the child's application form and Visa Application Charge with the relevant processing centre.
