- Enables a parent, relative or guardian to sponsor a child migrating to Australia and to give the written undertaking to support that child, including accommodation and financial assistance during their first years in Australia.
- Who completes it
- The sponsor (parent, relative or guardian), lodged together with the child's application; where the child is under 18 the sponsor or guardian typically completes the accompanying application on the child's behalf.
- Information it collects (in general terms)
- Sponsor and guardian identity and personal details, the relationship to the child and details of the child's family unit, character disclosures including any child-related offences or charges, and the sponsor's support undertaking.
- When it is used
- Used when sponsoring a dependent child, adopted child or orphan relative to migrate, lodged at the same time as the child's application form and Visa Application Charge with the relevant processing centre.
