- What it is for
- This is the departmental application form used to apply for a permanent Child visa so that a child can migrate to, or remain permanently in, Australia. It covers the Child (Migrant) and Child (Residence) visa classes, with the applicant indicating the relevant class on the form.
- Who completes it
- The child applicant lodges the application; where the child is under 16, a parent, relative or guardian may complete and sign it on the child's behalf. It is designed to be lodged together with a separate sponsorship form completed by the child's sponsor.
- Information it collects (in general terms)
- General categories include the child's personal and identity details, the visa class being sought, sponsorship and family relationship information, the intended Australian residential address, supporting-document and payment references, and signed declarations (including an Australian-values undertaking).
- When it is used
- Used when a child is being sponsored to migrate to Australia as a permanent resident, whether applying from outside Australia (as migration) or from within Australia (as permanent residence), and lodged as a paper application with the accompanying sponsorship form.
This site is not affiliated with the Australian Government. Forms are completed and lodged in your own ImmiAccount; this platform never submits anything to the department.
