What it is for
This is a statutory declaration by which an eligible relative formally undertakes to sponsor an applicant for a Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) (Subclass 491) visa. It records the sponsor's commitment to support obligations such as assisting with accommodation and finances during an initial period after grant or first entry and accepting responsibility for certain of the applicant's obligations to the Commonwealth.
Who completes it
The sponsor - an eligible relative of the applicant who is at least 18, an Australian citizen, permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen, and usually resident in a designated regional area.
