3,400 places (2,700 subclass 190; 700 subclass 491)

Program status at capture

Registrations of Interest closed on 28 April 2026; submitted ROIs continue to be considered for remaining places. The 2026–27 program has not yet opened.

Published nomination requirements

As published by the program for 2025–26, in addition to the Department of Home Affairs criteria for each visa subclass.

Victoria does not publish a state occupation list: any occupation on the relevant Commonwealth skilled occupation list is eligible for Victorian nomination.
Under 45 years of age, at least Competent English, and a skills assessment with at least 12 weeks' validity at application.
At least 65 points on the Department of Home Affairs points test.
Onshore registrants must be living in Victoria; offshore registrants are eligible for both subclasses.
For subclass 491, Victoria requires living and working in regional Victoria (or living offshore); the employer must be physically located in regional Victoria.
Registration of Interest and nomination are free of charge; Victoria publishes health, education, ICT, construction and new-energy sectors as its priorities.

Victoria publishes no state occupation list — the Commonwealth lists apply, and Victoria selects Registrations of Interest against its published priority sectors.
